Licensed Daycare Center, Bethany Christian School
Full Time (30-35 hrs a week), Part Time Position (From 20 to 25 hrs a week)

The mission of Bethany Cub Club is to serve families by helping their children love God, enjoy learning, and care for others. Bethany Cub Club seeks competent, diligent, qualified, and confident individuals who are led by the Lord to the ministry of Christian education to the goals and purposes of our school. Employees must be committed Christians in agreement with our Statement of Faith who are willing to serve as Christian role models for our students. All staff members play a vital role at Bethany Cub Club and have eternal significance in the lives of the students. 

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and attentive care to each individual student.
• Conduct a well-organized, play, learning, and creative environment in the classroom.
• Follow daily schedules and routines created by the administration.
• Create and/or manage weekly lesson plans consisting of Circle Time, Bible, and daily lessons. (Curriculum Provided By Cub Club)
• Implement regular cleaning and organization of the classroom and materials used. 
• Follow Louisiana State Licensing Regulations

• Communication between parents, children, and fellow staff members.

• Teachable and able to receive correction 
• Teaching and Nurturing
• Ability to engage in fun and learning activities with students. 
• Behavior and classroom management
• Able to follow instructions
• Physical stamina: lifting up to 25–50 lbs, standing for long periods, frequent bending, and engagement in play.

Requirements 

• Strong and mature Christian who lives out her Christian faith daily. 
• Regular church attendance 
• Child Criminal Background Check Eligibility
• Pediatric First Aid and CPR Training 
• Mandated Reporter Training
• Health and Safety Training 
• 12 hrs Continuing Education Training
• Commitment to the contracted school year

Day to Day

• Monday-Friday work environment. Hours of operation, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Daily schedules that consist of: diaper changing/potty training, circle time, curriculum and bible lessons, snacks, recess, lunch, and nap times. 
• Daily upkeep in the center includes cleaning. 
• Assisting fellow employees with breaks, activities, and routines.
