Build the Mission brings together all local and global outreach efforts of Bethany Church. Through the Bethany Mentorship Program, our Missions Base in Puerto Rico, and outreach initiatives around the world, we are meeting needs, preaching the Gospel, and transforming lives in real and measurable ways.

1. THE BETHANY MENTORSHIP PROGRAM

Our Local Outreach Expression

The Bethany Mentorship Program is restoring hope and reshaping the future of students and families across East Baton Rouge Parish. Through daily encouragement, meals, tutoring, life skills training, and consistent mentorship, we are seeing students rise above limitations and step confidently into their God given potential.

This year, God has opened unprecedented doors.

Unmatched Impact and Momentum

More than 50 percent of every high school graduate who has participated in the Mentorship Program is now enrolled in a post secondary education or training program. This is a major breakthrough and is central to our mission of breaking cycles of poverty in our communities.

The East Baton Rouge Parish School System has now entered a formal agreement that allows the Bethany Mentorship Program to operate in every school in the parish. This gives us citywide access to underserved students and an incredible opportunity to expand our reach and impact.

More than 300 students have made a decision to follow Jesus, and many are now connected to Baker BYA and Bold ministries where they are being discipled and growing in faith.

2. PUERTO RICO MISSIONS BASE

A Global Launchpad of Hope

Over the past three years, Bethany has planted deep roots in San Juan, establishing a fully functioning Bethany Church campus and building a dedicated Missions Base. This base is quickly becoming a trusted hub for outreach, disaster relief, and ministry training across the island.

Teams from Bethany and from churches across the United States will be able to stay, cook, serve, and minister from this central base year round. In 2025, Bethany alone is sending seven missions trips.

3. GLOBAL MISSIONS

Reaching the nations with the Gospel

Bethany has always been a missions church. From our very first offering to today, we have remained committed to sending the Gospel to the ends of the earth. Through Kingdom Builders, we partner with ministries across the world that are rescuing children, providing clean drinking water, planting churches, and responding to disaster and crisis with the love of Jesus.

For more than twenty years, church planting and expansion have been part of the heartbeat of Bethany. From one campus in Baker, the Lord has expanded our reach to Baton Rouge, Livingston Parish, New Orleans, Houma, and Puerto Rico. Now, it is time to invest deeply in the foundational campuses that have carried this vision forward.

Through Build Your Church, we are creating sanctuaries where the Gospel can be preached boldly, environments where children and families can grow in Christ, and spaces where future leaders can be trained for ministry.

And now, God has opened even more opportunities for expansion.

1. THE SOUTH BATON ROUGE PROJECT

A new campus at the crosses and a new home for Bethany Christian School

Our original plan was to renovate the current South Baton Rouge facilities, but as we evaluated the scope of work, the Lord led us into a better future.

The current South Baton Rouge campus will become the full home of Bethany Christian School, providing the space needed for new grades, expanded programs, and a growing student body that is being formed in a Christ centered environment.

A brand new South Baton Rouge Campus will be constructed in front of the crosses, creating state of the art spaces for worship, ministry, children, youth, and families. This entire project remains within the original budget, while dramatically increasing long term impact.

Preparing this historic campus for future growth, stewardship, and next generation ministry.

Hammond and Ascension Campus Building Funds

These campuses currently meet in rented facilities, and Build Your Church will help prepare them for future land and permanent buildings.

Creating warm, welcoming, and beautiful spaces for the Houma congregation and community.
